Tiffany Thornton

Academy Counselor

Tiffany Thornton is an Academy Counselor at Foundations, Inc., supporting the Academy at Penn. Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania with over two decades of experience supporting adolescents through a trauma-informed lens. Her career has spanned a variety of impactful roles—including case management, life skills instruction, program development, adoption services, and mental health—allowing her to build a deep, holistic understanding of youth needs and systems of care.

Tiffany currently serves as a school counselor while also operating her private practice, Therapeutic Interventions for Functionality and Fulfillment (TIFF). In both capacities, she is dedicated to helping young people thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Her work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practices that aim to foster resilience, promote academic achievement, and equip students with essential life skills.

In partnership with the Academy at Penn Program at School of the Future and Furness High School, Tiffany brings a wealth of knowledge in developing best practices for counseling and training facilitators in effective, youth-centered life skills approaches. She is passionate about empowering both students and the professionals who support them—building stronger, more responsive systems that create meaningful opportunities for success.
