Tasha Gardner

Education Specialist, Center for Afterschool and Expanded Learning

Tasha Gardner is an Education Specialist in the Center for Afterschool and Expanded Learning, responsible primarily for content development and training. Prior to joining Foundations, Tasha spent 16 years working in higher education creating and managing support programs for students of color, students from underserved areas, and students who were the first in their families to go to college. She is particularly proud of creating a first-generation program that served students, faculty, and staff promoting cross-generational conversations.

Tasha’s favorite quote comes from Booker T. Washington: “Success is to be measured not so much by the position reached in life, as by the obstacles overcome while trying to succeed.” In her free time, Tasha enjoys reading, wine tasting with friends, and watching reality tv.
