
Dr. Sylvia E. Lyles serves as the Chief, Office of Partnerships and Grants for Foundations, Inc. In this role, she implements the organization’s strategic vision that focuses on effective growth, building new partnerships to grow and sustain the organization’s educational portfolio. Dr. Lyles has over 40 years working in the field of education, where she brings years of experience in the field of literacy (pedagogy & andragogy), career and technical education, gifted/talented education, STEM, teacher quality, arts education, and afterschool programming. During her career at the U.S. Department of Education, she was responsible for developing numerous national policies and programs used to inform education practice at state and local education agencies, national and community organizations, and other education entities. She served as the federal Director, 21st CCLC programs from 2007-2021. Since January 2010, Dr. Lyles has served as Distinguished Adjunct Faculty at National University.
