Scarlett O’Dell is an Education Specialist in the Office of Professional Learning, responsible for project assistance, content development, and facilitating trainings. Scarlett is a passionate and community Driven professional with a background in teaching, equity advocacy, youth coordination, and program development. Scarlett taught High School Social Studies for four years and was a Substance Use Prevention Specialist and Youth Coordinator for two years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Diversity and Inclusion from Rowan University and her Bachelor’s Degree in History and Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Scarlett brings a thoughtful and inclusive lens to everything she does, whether it is leading youth initiatives, designing engaging programs, or partnering with local organizations to support community well-being. Born and raised in North Carolina, Scarlett has lived in New Jersey with her fiancé for the past eight years with their two dogs (Dinah & Frodo) and two cats (Kori & Mera). Scarlett is a lifelong learner and self-proclaimed nerd who finds joy in gaming, content creation, cooking, listening to all types of music, and diving into fantastical worlds through books, movies/TV, comics, and Dungeons & Dragons. She believes in the power of connection, creativity, and cultivating spaces where everyone feels seen and valued.
