Parisa Khoshnood is the Social Worker for the Academy at Penn, where she supports students with warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to their well‑being. As a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania, she provides trauma‑informed, developmentally appropriate mental health and social services that help students build resilience and feel ready for whatever comes next.
Before joining the Academy, Parisa served as the Education Program Manager at HIAS Pennsylvania, working closely with immigrant and refugee youth and their families. Her experience in creating safe, inclusive environments for young people continues to shape her work, and she remains passionate about uplifting marginalized communities and helping educators meet the diverse needs of their students.
Parisa earned her B.A. in Global Studies & Modern Languages with a concentration in Justice & Human Rights from Drexel University and her Master of Social Work from Temple University.
Outside of work, Parisa enjoys going on long walks with friends, getting lost in a good book, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
