Michael Piazza-Sugarman is the Chief Financial Officer, leading all financial operations to support Foundations’ integrated services to the education field – including working closely with the office of the CEO to inform strategic decision-making. Michael has been working in finance and accounting since 2008; as he often says, it’s hard to make the world a better place through accounting – but supporting Foundations’ mission gives him a sense of purpose.
Michael also finds other ways to give back to the community, volunteering with youth groups in Philadelphia and serving as Treasurer of the Board for the Philadelphia chapter of GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network). Michael’s favorite hobbies are traveling and running; in fact, he recently completed a marathon with Students Run Philly Style, one of the youth groups he works with!
