Amirah Cutts, Ed.D.

Instructional Coach

Dr. Amirah Cutts is a second-career educator who spends most of her time teaching students and coaching teachers. As a teacher, Dr. Cutts taught mathematics, mentored new teachers, led professional development, and became an award-winning teacher leader. These early career leadership positions laid the groundwork for her role as an instructional coach and education champion.

Ms. Amirah, as her students call her, believes that education is the passport to the future and that developing critical thinkers and problem solvers through mathematics provides a sturdy foundation for lifelong success. As a person who values diversity and collaboration, Ms. Amirah is committed to improving the lives and outcomes of students, teachers, parents, and communities.

She is a student-focused educator with 24 years of experience teaching students, coaching teachers, and facilitating professional development in public, charter, and private schools. Teaching and learning consume her professional career. Ms. Amirah holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, a Master of Education in Elementary Education, a Graduate Certificate in Special Education and Nonprofit Arts Administration, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. You can occasionally find her keeping up with the happenings of the NCAA or participating in community service activities.
