The Foundations REACH model was developed in response to the disrupted learning that students across the country are experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
REACH uses a targeted academic acceleration and intervention approach for reading and math that integrates social-emotional learning experiences into the program design. REACH can be adapted for summer or before/after school learning opportunities in your school or school district.
Explicit small group instruction in reading and math using evidence-based practices and instructional materials that accelerate learning
Professional development for program staff regarding the effective use of data to guide instruction and monitor student progress
Hands-on activities to engage students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and the Arts
Special events coordinated with community partners to provide rich, meaningful, real-world learning opportunities
