Our Georgia contacts have identified the following two sites for visitation.
BUS 1 – WINGS at Heritage Elementary School (Grades K-5, 21st CCLC funded)
WINGS for kids is an education program that teaches kids how to behave well, make good decisions and build healthy relationships. We do this by weaving a comprehensive social and emotional learning curriculum into a fresh and fun after school program. Kids get the life lessons they need to succeed and be happy, and they get a safe place to call home after school.
BUS 2 - Kidz Matter Academy at Dobbs Elementary School (Grades 2-5, 21st CCLC funded)
Kidz Matter Academy (KMA) enrichment activities include robotics, Zumba, DJ and hip hop courses, cooking courses, and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) courses. All student programs follow a research-based curricula adopted and implemented by the Atlanta Public Schools system. In addition to a focus on student achievement, they also aim to complement student success by targeting adult learning and increased parental support through a Parent Academy.
